Prof. Quek is Chairman, Medical Board, of National University Hospital. He is also Senior Con-sultant and Head, Division of Cardiology, at the Department of Paediatrics. Prof. Quek has pub-lished extensively in peer-reviewed journals and participated in many international conferences as invited faculty. In recognition of his contributions to cardiology, he was awarded Fellowship of the American College of Cardiology. He is the first Singaporean to be invited to serve as Council Member of the ACC Adult Congenital Heart and Pediatric Cardiology Chapter. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatricians and Child Health (United Kingdom), Academy of Medicine and College of Paediatricians and Child Health, Singapore. Of his many administrative duties at National University Hospital, Prof Quek is the Director of Healthcare Performance Office. He is instrumental for the JCI accreditation of NUH, making NUH the first hospital in Singapore to be accredited in 2004, with subsequent re-accreditations after, includ-ing raising the bar to the accreditation to an Academic Medical Center standard. Prof. Quek is Senior Consultant (Part-time) to the Ministry of Health, Singapore, and the Health Promotion Board's School Health Service. For his contributions to healthcare, he was awarded the inaugu-ral NUHS-Mochtar Riady Pinnacle Award for Clinical Excellence and National Medical Excel-lence Award by the Ministry of Health, Singapore, in 2013.

Prof. Yiu-fai Cheung is a clinician specializing in pediatric cardiology, a teacher, and a clini-cian investigator. He graduated from The University of Hong Kong in 1990, received his Doc-torate of Medicine in 2004, became a full professor in The University of Hong Kong in 2007, and was awarded the Faculty Teaching Medal in the same year. He is currently Bryan Lin Pro-fessor of Pediatric Cardiology of the LKS Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China. Prof. Cheung’s research interests include Pediatric cardiology and adult congenital heart disease are the major areas of Professor Cheung's research. His scope of re-search encompasses three domains: (i) pediatric and adult congenital heart disease, (ii) acquired heart disease in children, and (iii) vascular function in health and disease in the young. He has written more than 178 peer-reviewed papers, 2 books, and 9 book chapters, produced a multi-media CD-ROM on diagnosis of congenital heart disease, and delivered more than 200 invited lectures.
