Pediatric Medicine

Aims and Scope

Pediatric Medicine (PM, Pediatr Med, ISSN 2617-5428), is an international, open access, peer-reviewed online journal covering the cutting-edge findings in all fields of pediatrics, providing current and practical information on prevention, diagnosis and clinical investigations. Pediatric Medicine welcome submission of the following article types: original article, review article, editorial commentary, case report, letter to editor, images in clinical medicine, etc. PM is the official journal of the National Children's Medical Center (China) and Children's Hospital of Fudan University (Shanghai, China). Currently, PM has been indexed by Scopus.

Pediatric Medicine publishes across all relevant fields of research, including but not restricted to: pediatric oncology, child and adolescent psychiatry, general pediatrics and pediatric, emergency care, genetic Disorders, neonatology, obstetric and pediatric pharmacology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric critical care, pediatric endocrinology, pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition, pediatric hematology and hematological malignancies, pediatric immunology, pediatric infectious diseases, pediatric nephrology, pediatric neurology, pediatric orthopedics, pediatric otolaryngology, pediatric pulmonology, pediatric surgery and pediatric urology.

The high quality of its content is assured by a rigorous review process and supervised by a strong editorial board. All submissions are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors or Editorial board members, as well as invited referees. The entire submission is managed through OJS system, an electronic system to provide an efficient way and ensure a rapid turn around of papers submitted for publication. With an eye to establishing a contemporary academic exchange forum to advance the understanding and practice of pediatric medicine among health care professionals, Pediatric Medicine will serve as an international platform for academic discussion and exchange among practitioners to make new discoveries on this important issue. Our mission is to bring pediatricians, at the intersection of clinical practice and translational research, the best researches that provide information in understandable and clinically useful formats, which will ultimately improve health care delivery and promote children health.

Children’s Hospital of Fudan University

Children’s Hospital of Fudan University located in Shanghai, China is a tertiary pediatric medical center affiliated to the Ministry of Health of China. Since founded in 1952, it has been dedicated to providing the pediatric patient care, education and research. The hospital owns the national key discipline for pediatrics designated by the Ministry of Education. It provides training programs for master and doctoral degrees, and postdoctoral fellowship. PM is a member of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and it follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)'s guidelines and the ICMJE recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journal.

Manuscripts submitted must be the original work of the author(s) and must not be published previously or under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Submission Turnaround Time

  • In-house review: 1-3 weeks
  • External peer review: 1-3 months
  • Publication Ahead of Print: within 1 month after being accepted
  • Formal publication: within 1-3 months after being accepted. Original Articles are listed as priority.
